Help for Kids 'local sponsors helping local kids'

‘Help for Kids’

Here at KidsLink, we are so proud of our ‘Help for Kids’ programme. By the end of 2016, we had been able to help 142 children access $45,000 worth of services.

The passionate KidsLink team
But we wanted to do more!

So during February and March, we had a local sponsorship drive. We asked local businesses on the Hibiscus Coast and in Silverdale/Orewa to contribute to our ‘Help for Kids’ programme so we could support local children to access the services they need. We were blown away by the generosity of the local businesses who came on-board!

We asked schools to apply

Nine of our local schools applied for help from the ‘Help for Kids’ programme. They sent in applications for 64 children from their schools. Applications were for a range of KidsLink services such as swimming lessons, educational psychologist assessments, counselling, Maths and Literacy tutoring, eye exams, dance and drama, tae kwon do and so much more! With the funding we collected, we were able to help 35 children.
