Counselling and Therapy Approach

Psychological therapy can be a process that leads to new understanding and more effective ways of responding to difficult situations. When honouring body, mind and spirit in our cultural context, inner wisdom emerges, and clarity arises. Learning new skills and strategies help us move forward towards growth and well-being.

Being a parent requires constant expansion of your horizon, while providing continuity in care, safety and stability. This task can be challenging at times, given that so many unpredictable factors can change a situation very quickly. When you are going through a stressful time with your family, then it may be helpful to have somewhere to go to where you can share your load in confidence. Receiving support and learning how your own awareness and insight into family dynamics can help you approach life in a new way, can be very valuable.

Being a young person in this world can be confusing sometimes, and it can be helpful to have someone outside your circle of friends and family to talk to. Someone, who listens and is willing to assist you in moving forward.

Physical environment

Although the location is central, the therapy room is in a quiet setting with a view into trees and sky. It is comfortable and welcoming. Free parking is on site with 2 hour paid parking available on the street as well. Bus stops and the Newmarket train station are very nearby. Sorry, no eftpos available.

Atmosphere

This is a family friendly place and we make your family feel as comfortable as possible. We work collaboratively, with the support and assistance of parents and caregivers where necessary.

Call me today on (021 113 4171) to make an inquiry or book an initial consultation. I look forward to meeting with you.
