“Awesome place for kids amusement. The crystal museum is good. A huge variety of crystals from all over the world are kept here. An entry fee is there but totally worth the visit. Nice shop as well to buy the crystal souvenirs and jewelery etc. Good for half a day’s visit with kids.”

“My Grandchildren had an awesome time there.”

Went here with nana grandad mum Aunty and kids aged between 6 and 10. I think this is a great old fashioned kiwi day out. A ride on a “train” not too daring rollercoasters the kids can go on their own on and if you get the right ticket- ride as many times as they like. A pony ride, visit and hold the rabbits, stroke and feed the goat, lamas or alpacas. Dive your own car then. Go down to the depth of 100m (that’s what the elevator says ) to the mine to see rare crystals from all over the world. Our kids loved it. The cafe has reasonably priced ice blocks and cold drinks. But there is a huge covered area for you to picnic if you want.”

“If you like crystals this is the place to come, they have all different colours and a shop where you can buy your own crystals to take home. Great family fun and the farm animals next door are cool for the kids too. There’s an underground area where they keep the very special crystals worth checking out.”

“Very easy to find this venue. Plenty of parking and easy access. Prices average. Husband and I were cheaper than children as they did all of the activities. There are a lot of great things for children to be involved in. Horse riding, ride on train, little cars on a track. Dino saurora park and animals to feed. Pets to pat, bouncy castle, bungy jumping, and a cave to visit with crystals displayed. The shop is great too.”
