As a Christian preschool our teachers know each child is an amazing creation of God and that He has a great plan and purpose for them. All our efforts are directed at helping your child succeed in life by acknowledging God and applying his principles to their life from a young age. Being a Future Kid Superhero means jumping in puddles, exploring new adventures, learning new skills and developing character (virtues) to prepare them for their leap into primary school and beyond. Our staff truly care for your child and see their worth.
They will journey with you as a family to build self-esteem and help your child discover all that lies ahead for them. Let’s work together to give them the best start in life!
Superhero Launch Pad
Kids launch into the day with a buzz of activity at our Superhero Launch Pad as they are welcomed and settled warmly by our fabulous teachers.
Presented with an array of materials and toys to play, create and explore with, they exercise their ‘choosing’ muscles. Then expanding their imagination in building and storytelling.
Superheroes are encouraged to investigate, discover, interact with one another, resolve conflict and problem solve. At mat time they come together to sing, play instruments and dance to make the music come alive. Their Superhero teachers take time to teach about what kindness and honesty looks like and how to be patient, self-controlled and helpful as well as key biblical principles that set them up for success. Stories leap off the pages with the help of props, puppets and acting getting the kids involved.
To give a boost to these young superheroes there is time for them to tuck into their lunch box of delicious healthy goodies from home. Healthy snacks are provided and enjoyed for morning and afternoon tea each day. There is also a chance for an extra reboot with a brief quiet time before they’re off to explore new adventures that lie ahead.
Over 2’s/Masked and ready to soar
We want to launch our kids into the world with their superhero capes at the ready! That’s why Older Superheroes are expected to be mindful of and caring towards the teina (younger ones). We guide them to know their worth with self-confidence yet with empathy and kindness towards all those around them. We give our kids the freedom to learn through play and social relationships as well as through structured time of learning.
Every Future Kid Superhero is trained in essential character traits (virtues) for success in life. Kindness, honesty, self-control, patience, perseverance, helpfulness, obedience, forgiveness, gentleness, contentment, diligence and attentiveness.
4 years & up, up and away
What makes a Superhero prepared for school and heading up, up and away? Confidence in knowing they can reach for the stars. That’s why our 4 year old school ready programme starts when your child turns 4 and runs daily during term time until they are ready to soar. They will get way more than basic numbers and letter recognition here. To us school ready means being able to self-manage, share news on the mat, be a good friend, take turns, follow instructions and so much more. We have many fantastic stories from families who felt so good seeing their child start school knowing they can cope and they were not overwhelmed or unprepared.
Physical environment
Omahu Road Launch Pad is open Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm for age 2 to 5 year olds.
