Meet the Team
Eliette Roslin is the CEO of New Zealand Girls Choir. She started her career in the Australian Girls Choir at the age of 5 and from there she grew to love music, singing and performance. In 2005 she featured on the “I Still Call Australia Home” Qantas Ad and performed regularly with the choir at many public events.
It was with much excitement and anticipation when Eliette launched The New Zealand Girls Choir. It was something she wanted to do for a long time as she wanted to bring the pleasure she had from a young age when she was singing in choirs, to girls from all ages.
See the world as your stage
We thoroughly believe everyone has a voice and that everyone deserves to be heard. It is our goal to inspire, challenge, create and build confidence in a nurturing and supportive environment where young girls can understand their voice and how to take control of their place in this world. Catering to any girls age 5 to 18 years, your daughter can join us as we sing, dance, perform and make friends in weekly classes.
We cater to all abilities and confidence levels. Everyone can sing with the right support and education and we’re here to help.
Our classes are divided into age groups according to years at school to accommodate for each level of growth. Girls from a young age understand how to move and grace the stage. Also, how to project, harmonise, enunciate and communicate musical ideas both verbally and physically. They understand that their ideas matter to the group whilst making lifelong friends and learn fun, modern songs each week.
The New Zealand Girls Choir follows the Orff and Kodaly philosophies. Learning how to perform, listen, be critical thinkers, creative humans and express musically through movement and singing.
Atmosphere
We believe everyone is naturally musical. This is expressed in the way we talk, walk and move. We combine movement and dance with our singing as it’s important to us that our girls understand how to grace and move on a stage. It is just as important as the voice itself. It is important to us that the girls have fun and become confident through self-expression and discovery. Each voice is uniquely different and has value.
Physical environment
We are based at 6/28 The Avenue, Auckland with plenty of parking.
