About Me:

I have started working with twins 15 years ago. I discovered a great passion to support families with the emotional, logistical and mental challenges which often accompany twin parenthood. Understanding child development and the special dynamics between twins, and between twins and their family, is vital to support their emotional and mental well-being. After working as a twin nanny for many years, I realised I wanted to help more twin families and find a way to offer them comprehensive support services.

I have a diploma in early childhood education and I’m currently completing my Bachelor’s degree. I am a certified baby and toddler sleep consultant and a qualified postpartum professional (doula). I have particular interest in the RIE (Resources for Infants Educarers) childcare philosophy and have completed the RIE Foundations course.

How you help children:

Prenatal support (either at home or via Zoom):

During a 90min consultation, I will help you and your family prepare mentally, emotionally and logistically for the arrival of the twins. This includes identifying what obstacles (either emotional, familial or physical) you may anticipate, and how to best prepare for common scenarios in a way that suits you and your family’s needs. We will also discuss potential stressors and identify strategies to address these in time of need, so the transition into the new chapter in your life feels smoother, and less stressful.

Postpartum Support:

This includes an initial 1-hour introductory meeting in which we will get to know one another, and talk about your expectations of your postpartum: what is important you, how do you like to relax, what would make your postpartum more pleasant, and how I can best support you during my visits. We will also draft an “oxytocin boost plan” to make sure your needs are met, you will have opportunities to rest, unwind and recover. We will optimise the postpartum package of your choice to meet the needs of you and your family.

The postpartum visits are twice a week for 3 hours, over 2 or 4 weeks. During the visits, I help settling the babies to sleep, help with cooking and taking care of the house, take charge of the babies while you get a nap/shower/rest/eat etc. I will also help you understand your newborns’ sleep needs and teach you effective settling strategies, so you have better success with settling the babies to sleep.

Twin-focused Sleep Consultation (either at home or via Zoom):

During the 1-2 hours’ sleep consultation, we will talk about the current sleep issues your child is having. According to the babies/toddlers’ age, temperament, your parenting style and family’s dynamic, I will suggest ideal settling methods to help solve your child’s sleep issues. I will then write a thorough sleep assessment which details steps and explanations to implementing the sleep plan. Then, over 1-2 weeks, I will help you implement the sleep plan with regular follow-up phone-calls to make sure you feel comfortable with the process, and I can answer any questions you may have along the way.

Common baby and toddler sleep issues:

· Self-settling

· Transition from cot to big bed

· Transition from bed-sharing to own bed

· Frequent night feeds

· Frequent night wakes

Parental Guidance (either at home or via Zoom):

During a 90min consultation, we will talk about (and if at home, I will observe) your twin/s’ behavioural issues. I will then assess and explain the underlying issues causing the behaviour, and suggest effective strategies to help your twin/s. During the following week, I will offer ongoing support with regular follow-up phone calls (and if needed, another home visit) to help you implement the strategies and make sure the desired results are achieved.
