At Gore Parents Centre, we bring parents together to connect, learn, and support one another. We work alongside parents, providing the knowledge, skills, and encouragement they need to feel confident in their parenting journey.
Through our programmes and activities, both parents and children have opportunities to grow—physically, socially, and mentally—while building lifelong friendships within the community.
What we offer
Music & Movement
Every Friday during school terms for under-5s
Come along for a lively and interactive session filled with music, movement, and fun! Children can enjoy singing, playing musical instruments, and action-packed songs. There are plenty of opportunities to dance with scarves, ribbons, balls, bubbles, and balloons.
Our sessions also include finger rhymes and hand-action songs, encouraging interaction between children and caregivers. Learning through play is at the heart of Music & Movement, creating a joyful and engaging experience for little ones.
Childbirth Education & Baby & You
Tuesdays | 10am – 12pm
Babies grow and change so quickly! Over several sessions, we explore the first six months of your baby’s development, offering practical advice and support for key milestones. Our qualified childbirth educator covers both childbirth preparation and early parenting skills, helping you make informed choices for your parenting journey.
These small-group sessions provide a comfortable setting where you can connect with other expectant parents. Classes are held four times a year.
Moving & Munching
Thursdays | 10am – 12pm
A fun and interactive programme for babies aged 6-12 months. These sessions focus on two exciting milestones—exploring the world around them and discovering first foods. It’s a great way to support your baby’s development while meeting other parents in a relaxed, friendly environment.
Music & Movement
Fridays | 10am, followed by morning tea
Start your Friday with a burst of energy! This session combines singing, musical instruments, action songs, and plenty of movement. Stay afterward for morning tea and a chance to connect with other parents and caregivers.
Car Seat Hire & Installation
We offer a selection of capsules and car seats for both short- and long-term hire, with professional installation and guidance included.
