What OT4You does:

OT4You Occupational Therapy Services offer a range of specialist sensory assessments for children aged five years and over to help identify their readiness to learn and ability to engage in everyday life.

These can include standardised assessments, clinical observations, and developmental screening to identify each childā€™s strengths and challenges, as well as conducting interviews with whanau, and liaising with the childā€™s school and other professionals, such as physiotherapists and psychologists.

The OT4You process:

After making your initial contact with OT4You, you will receive a phone call to talk through your childā€™s needs and goals. Next, the team will collect all the information they need to put together your childā€™s individualised treatment plan. They will undertake the relevant assessments, conduct their interviews, and analyse this information to build a clear picture of your child and what they need.

Within just a couple of weeks, you will receive your childā€™s individualised treatment plan. This includes the detailed report and specific recommendations from the team at OT4You, including providing you with tools to support your child and help them manage their progress, giving you choices and offering you alternative avenues of care and advice.

Follow up support includes a phone call or email to answer any of your questions and one to one intervention to support your child through their occupational therapy journey to reach their goals.

The atmosphere at OT4You:

As a mother of two children with learning difficulties herself, Shelley knows how daunting it can be for you to go through the process of identifying your childā€™s challenges and putting things in place to help them grow and thrive. She is passionate about helping people and walks with you every step of the way. She ensures children feel welcome and relaxed when working with OT4You. Shelley and her team work hard to build positive relationships with you and your child and partner with you to realise your childā€™s full potential.
